We’ve made sustainability and energy efficiency a foundation of our work for more than a decade. We integrate this practice into our services whenever and wherever possible.

Appleton’s senior team is led by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associates, who prioritize:

Replacement of inefficient heating and cooling equipment with new, state-of-the-art high-efficiency boilers, chillers, heat pumps, and split systems
Installation of long-lasting, energy-saving LED lighting and controls to replace older, less efficient lighting technologies
Complete facility weatherization, which includes mitigation of air infiltration
Installation of programmable smart thermostats

Bulk purchasing electricity and natural gas through competitive bidding.
Employing sophisticated Building Management Systems, allowing our maintenance teams to drive energy efficiency
Re-roofing our facilities with white membrane systems that reflect sunlight and reduce the need for air conditioning in the summer months
Working with our customers to bring electric vehicle charging stations to their properties
