Biography
Matt began his career at Appleton Corporation in 2012 as the Director of Facilities, already armed with decades of management, construction, development, sales, and leasing experience from positions held all across the country. He was promoted to company president in 2022. Matt’s philosophy of, “Discomfort is where personal growth occurs” drives his leadership style, constantly seeking professional development opportunities for all members of the Appleton team and guiding the overall growth of the company. Matt received his BA in Finance, with a Real Estate concentration, from the University of Illinois. He earned an MBA from the UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management and holds real estate licenses in multiple states. He sits on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics of Massachusetts and the Board of Directors for Community Care Resources, an organization that supports the real estate needs of the Behavioral Health Network. Matt and his family enjoy an active lifestyle, playing golf, fishing, biking, hiking, and traveling together whenever possible. Putting his personal philosophy to the test, he recently challenged his fear of sharks and learned to surf.
